In Sheela, actress Ragini Dwivedi plays a character that's tenacious and gritty and her look in the film suggests that one hasn't seen her in a role of this kind before. The story, as she revealed in a recent conversation with OTTplay, starts in Karnataka and leads her to Kerala where the pursuit of selling an ancestral property owned by her late husband puts her in terrible circumstances.

The film's poster reveals Ragini in a battered and bruised avatar, meaning that things get incredibly serious. Sheela will release both in Kannada and Malayalam and according to the latest updates, the film will arrive in cinemas on July 28.
"At present we see a blow to the woman submission that arose in the recent times of the dark and an uprising of the idea of importance of women in the society.….A story and journey of strength in theatres near you on July 28 … see you at the movies 👏🏾" wrote Ragini Dwivedi in the social media post she shared very recently to announce the film's release date.
With less than a week remaining before the film's release, one wonders if the makers have enough time on their hands for promotions, especially considering it marks Ragini Dwivedi's comeback as an actress. With July 28 as the chosen date, Sheela will clash with two other Kannada releases in the form of Shashank's Kousalya Supraja Rama (starring Darling Krishna and Brinda Acharya) and PRK Productions' retro comedy-drama Aachar & Co. (directed by debutant Sindhu Sreenivasa Murthy).
