Back in 2018, Ragini Dwivedi was a part of a Kannada film that reunited her with director Mussanje Mahesh, who was making Naane Next CM (which remains incomplete) with her. The film was publicized widely for having on its cast four actresses whose mothers were also artistes, while for Ragini, it was her return to doing a cop character after Ragini IPS.

MMCH had on its cast Meghana Raj Sarja, Samyukta Hornad, Nakshatra/Deepthi and Prathama Prasad, the daughters of Pramila Joshai, Sudha Belawadi, Sumithra and Vinaya Prasad, respectively. The film follows the story of four friends, played by Meghana, Samyukta, Nakshatra/Deepthi and Prathama, as Meghana, Maya, Chaya and Harshitha (hence the title MMCH), whose lives are turned around after a certain incident, for which Ragini is called in as the investigating officer.

During the promotions of MMCH, Ragini had said that her character, Jhansi Rani, was based on a real-life cop, although in the tale that they’ve sought inspiration from, the police officer was a man. She even gets a massy introduction scene, including a fight and punchlines, before it is revealed that she is a rough-and tough cop. However, when the film released, as Premigalige MMCH, it was widely panned by critics for its shoddy making. And yet, the film is now getting a Telugu release as Real Dandupalyam and Ragini has been in Hyderabad over the past few days to promote the same. “A press conference for a dubbed film doesn’t happen very often and I hope this film does well. Usually, when you try to convey real stories to the public, it’s not easy, because the performances become difficult. But it’s only when people watch such films that awareness about these stories and the issues within are created.0020My character in the film, for instance, was quite challenging, but I was up to the task. It was an amazing opportunity for me to explore this character. Also, this is my first official release in Telugu, so, I am very excited about it,” said Ragini at a promotional event for the film.
