Starring Anson Paul, the comedy entertainer Rahel Makan Kora is gearing up for its theatrical release. The film, directed by Ubaini, revolves around themes like mother-son relationships and romance. Anson, known for films like Kala Viplavam Pranayam and Abrahaminte Santhathikal, will essay a rustic character unlike his previous films. Baby Edathua has written the script of Rahel Makan Kora, which will hit theatres on October 13.

In the film, Anson essays the role of a public bus conductor, Kora, who falls in love with a co-worker in the depot. Kora is a single-parent child and shares a friendly relationship with his mother, Rahel. The teaser and the songs of the film hint at a feel-good comedy entertainer set in a rustic backdrop. Kuttanad, a backwater region in Kerala, serves as the backdrop of Rahel Makan Kora. According to the teaser, the film has two storylines: a comedy track set in the main lead's local region and a romantic track between Kora and Gauthami, the bus conductor.

Merin Philip, known for films like Poomaram and Happy Sardar, essays the female lead, Gauthami, in Rahel Makan Kora. Sminu Sijo, who got popular through rustic characters in Janaki Jaane, Jo and Jo and Operation Java, plays the mother of Anson, Rahel. The teaser suggests that Sminu will play a hot-headed yet loving mother like his previous roles in Jo and Jo. Apart from these, actors like Althaf Salim, Manu Pillai, and Vijayakumar will also be seen in pivotal roles in Rahel Makan Kora. Shiji Jayadevan handles the cinematography, while Abu Thahir does the editing.
