The OTT release date for Rahel Makan Kora has finally been revealed by the makers. The comedy film, in which Anson Paul plays the lead, will be available for streaming on Saina Play starting on March 27. Romance and mother-son relationships are major themes in the movie.
In contrast to his previous roles, Anson, who is well-known for films like Abrahaminte Santhathikal and Kala Viplavam Pranayam, will play a rural character. Rahel Makan Kora, which debuted on the big screen on October 13 of last year, was written by Baby Edathua. Ubaini E has directed this film.

Anson plays Kora, a public bus conductor in the movie who develops feelings for a coworker at the depot. Kora has a cordial relationship with his mother, Rahel given that he was raised by a single parent. The film's songs and teaser suggest a feel-good comedy show with a rustic setting.
Rahel Makan Kora is set against the scenic backdrop of the renowned backwater area in Kerala, Kuttanad. The film features two storylines, according to the teaser: a romantic track between Kora and Gauthami, the bus conductor, and a humorous track set in the hometown of the main character.
In Rahel Makan Kora, Merin Philip, who is widely recognised for films like Poomaram and Happy Sardar, plays Gauthami, the main female character. Rahel's mother is played by Sminu Sijo, who gained notoriety for her characters in Operation Java, Jo and Jo, and Janaki Jaane.
According to the teaser, Sminu will portray a passionate but devoted mother, similar to her prior part in Jo and Jo. In addition, actors like Manu Pillai, Vijayakumar, and Althaf Salim will be seen in important roles in Rahel Makan Kora. Abu Thahir has helmed the edit work for the film, and Shiji Jayadevan is the cinematographer.
The CBFC has given the comedy-drama, which addresses issues like single parenting, a clean U certificate. Shaji K George provided financial support for the movie through SKG Films.
