It was a perfect family Sunday for Rahul Arunodoy Banerjee and Priyanka Sarkar as they took their son Shohoj to Indian Museum. The estranged couple who parted ways in 2017 is in the news as they put an effort to rekindle for the sake of their son, Shohoj.
“It is not just about today. We have been spending family time every Sunday. I am Shohoj’s father and I want things to go easy,” said Rahul. Does this mean they are rebuilding their broken marriage? “I don’t want to make pompous claims as we have seen pretty bad times. I am happy with the way things are. Priyanka and I have never really gotten completely separated from each other because of Shohoj. Besides, we knew each other since our childhood. She was 13 and I was 19 when we met and we grew up together. We had severe problems. However, when we stayed separated we realised all are not gone yet,” said the actor.

There was a time when Priyanka and Rahul made headlines for making unpleasant comments against each other. “That was a phase of six months. We grew up since then and became a lot more pragmatic,” said Rahul, who was linked up with his co-actor Rooqma Ray after they became a hit couple on the TV serial Desher Mati. Later, they were seen in Lalkuthi also. “Rooqma is a friend whom I can call in the middle of the night with my problems,” he claimed. Was there no reality behind their sizzling reel-life chemistry that was cherished by their fans? “Not at all. We were friends and we still are. We don't meet often but we care for each other dearly,” said the actor.

After a series of legal fights, they are spotted together again. Priyanka maintained that her only motto is to offer Shohoj a peaceful life.
