Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 might have seen a Box Office drop, but it still beat many records, including that of Salman Khan's Sikandar, Akshay Kumar's Kesari 2 and Sunny Deol's Jaat

Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 might appear to have taken a dip at the Box Office but the movie's screens are now limited as compared to opening day. This has had a direct impact on the film's earnings, but Raid 2 continues to break records. The movie has earned more than Salman Khan's Sikandar minted on Eid holiday within two days of its release, despite the circumstances. Needless to say, Raid 2 has also beaten Akshay Kumar's Kesari: Chapter 2 and Sunny Deol's Jaat records. Here's how...
After earning Rs. 19.25 crore on its opening day, Ajay Devgn's Raid 2 minted Rs. 11.75 crore on day 2, according to Sacnilk. This means the movie has already earned Rs. 31 crore in two days of its release.
Salman Khan's Sikandar was riding high on its Eid day release. However, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan actor's film had managed to earn only Rs. 29 crore on the festival day i.e. Eid, which fell on a Monday. Of course, it took Raid 2 two days to earn more than what Salman earned within the festival day itself.
Despite the lesser screens (owing to more movie releases since Friday), Raid 2 already managed to cross what Akshay Kumar's Kesari: Chapter 2 and even Sunny Deol's Jaat earned on their first weekend. Both the movies earned close to Rs. 30 crore over their first weekend, but Raid 2 has already earned Rs. 31 crore within two days of its release. This in itself is a huge feat for the Gangaajal actor's movie.
Raid 2 has also proven to trend better at the Box Office than Ajay Devgn's own latest releases. The opening day was already better than the 2024 blockbuster Shaitaan, and needless to say, Raid 2 has earned better than his most recent releases, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha as well as Azaad. The movie has crossed the lifetime collections of the movies, which were Rs. 12.18 crore and Rs. 7.42 crore, respectively.
Despite the impressive Box Office trend so far, it is unlikely that Raid 2 enters the Rs. 100 crore club over its first weekend itself. This is mainly owing to the fall on day 2. However, just like the other movies, Raid 2 is bound to enter the prestigious Rs. 100 crore club by the end of the first week and start of the second week. In that sense, the movie might be closer to recovering its budget of Rs. 120 crore by the time it steps into week 2. That in itself could be a win, given the current situation of Bollywood movies at the Box Office.
