Raid 3: Director Rajkumar Gupta hints at taking Ajay Devgn's film franchise forward, spills initial idea

Raid 2 director Rajkumar Gupta has hinted that he is taking Raid forward with Raid 3. During a recent interview, the filmmaker even spilled the beans on where the franchise, led by Gangaajal actor Ajay Devgn, is heading. Calling it 'Raid World,' Gupta left some hints about where the movie could go. Here are the details...

Raid 2 ends on a cliffhanger. Tauji (Saurabh Shukla) and Dada Manohar Bhai (Riteish Deshmukh) are seen shaking hands before going to jail. Rajkumar Gupta explains to Firstpost that even though he wrote the scene out of fun, it could start off as the idea for Raid 3. "His parole is done. He has gone back to jail and this guy is entering jail. So dono ko ek jail mein bhej dete hain. So it was something which out of fun I had written and it came in the film. So let’s see where it goes," the filmmaker shared.

Raid 2 Box Office success

Raid 2 has achieved the hit status at the Box Office. The movie has crossed the budget of the film (Rs. 120 crore) and is now earning profits. The film is expected to pick up further today since it is Buddha Purnima holiday and there is no other theatrical release this week (Aligarh actor Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi-led Bhool Chuk Maaf was supposed to be out on OTT coming Friday, but the movie's release is put on hold).
