Vikram Prabhu's Diwali release Raid will be available to stream on OTT starting December 8

After a one-month theatrical run, Karthi's debut film Raid, starring Vikram Prabhu, will soon be available to stream on OTT. Vikram plays a cop in the film, which is an out-and-out action flick. Sri Divya stars as the female lead. The movie is a remake of the superhit Kannada film Tagaru, which starred Shivarajkumar and Dhananjaya. Director Muthaiya has written the dialogue for Raid, which was released in theatres on November 10 during Diwali.

The digital rights to Raid have been bagged by Aha Tamil and the film will be available to stream starting December 8. Aha Tamil revealed this with a post on X which read, “All set to #Raid your hearts from December 8th @iamVikramPrabhu‘s pakka Action drama #Raid Streaming from December 8th. #Raidonaha #ahatamil.”
Vikram Prabhu and Sri Divya reunite for Raid after Vellaikara Durai
Raid is the second collaboration between Vikram Prabhu and Sri Divya, who were seen together in the 2014 comedy Vellaikara Durai. Ananthika, Rishi Rithvik, Soundararaja and others also have pivotal roles in the film. Sam CS is the music composer of the film, which has cinematography by Kathiravan, editing by Manimaran, and stunts choreographed by K Ganesh.
Vikram Prabhu plays a cop who is also a goon in Raid
Raid is a crime thriller in which Vikram plays a police officer who is transferred to a new town. He has to deal with a strong gang there that has a ruthless leader. Vikram's character is determined to put an end to the gangster’s reign of terror and restore peace in the town.
Raid kicks off with a series of gruesome murders in the city. While Vikram plays a ruthless cop, the gangsters kill for money, while he kills for justice. After the trailer was released, the film looked promising, but it was criticised for having dialogues that were clichéd and lacking in depth. Overall, Raid is an action-packed film with all the elements of a complete commercial movie, replete with romance, action sequences and emotions.
