Raj and DK's Netflix series Guns and Gulaabs starring Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salman to release on THIS date

The much-awaited comedy crime thriller series Guns and Gulaabs, created and directed by Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK, is all set to premiere on Netflix on August 18. The series boasts of a star-studded cast, featuring Rajkummar Rao, Dulquer Salmaan, Adarsh Gourav, Gulshan Devaiah and TJ Bhanu in lead roles.

Guns and Gulaabs is inspired by the misfits of the world and is set in the 90s. It tells a story of love and innocence in a world of crime, where every man has a dark side. The series promises to be a roller-coaster ride of humour, action and drama, with a retro vibe.

The first look of the series was unveiled in March this year, where the actors were seen sporting 90s outfits and hairstyles. Rajkummar Rao plays a small-time crook who gets entangled in a big mess, while Dulquer Salmaan plays a charming gangster who falls for a naive girl. Adarsh Gourav plays a young journalist who is on a mission to expose the truth, while Gulshan Devaiah plays a ruthless cop who is after the criminals. TJ Bhanu plays a loyal friend and accomplice of Rajkummar Rao's character.

Guns and Gulaabs is produced under Raj and DK's banner D2R Films in collaboration with Netflix. This is the first time that Raj and DK are directing a series for Netflix, after their successful shows The Family Man and Farzi for Prime Video. They are also working on the Indian chapter of Citadel for the streamer.
