The businessman and the husband of Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty broke down in tears during the release of the UT69 trailer. Raj spoke candidly about the effect the pornographic film case trial had on him and his family during the event.
In a conversation with the media, Raj reflected on his time behind bars and acknowledged that it was "painful" for his family. He said, "Mujhe bolo jo bolna hai. Mere biwi, bacchon aur mere family pe mat jao yaar. Kya bigada hai aap log ka unhone?" as he talked about online trolling.
Raj also finally revealed his face to the media after almost 1.5 years. He was detained for about two months after his arrest in July 2021.
