Raj Tarun, who has hit a rough patch lately with a flurry of non-performers at the box office, made his digital debut with ZEE5’s web series Aha Na Pellanta, directed by Sanjeev Reddy, in which he’d co-starred Shivani Rajashekar. The actor has signed a new project with Pilla Nuvvu Leni Jeevitham, Soukhyam filmmaker AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary today. Titled Thiragabadara Saami, the film is bankrolled by Malkapuram Shivakumar under Suraksha Entertainment Media.

The muhurat function of the film was held earlier today. While C Kalyan had clapped for the first shot, renowned producer KS Rama Rao had switched on the camera, with producer Pokuri Baburao formally handing over the script to director AS Ravikumar Chowdary. The other personalities who graced the event included Kasi Viswanath, Veera Shankar, Gosangi Subbarao, Raja Vannem Reddy, Bekkem Venugopal, T Prasanna Kumar, DS Rao and Jeevitha Rajashekar, to name a few.

JB is on board as the composer with Jawahar Reddy cranking the camera. Bekkem Ravinder is the executive producer and Ravikumar Gurram is the art director respectively. AS Ravikumar Chowdary has also written the story and the screenplay for the film that’s labelled an action entertainer. The film is expected to go on floors shortly while the leading lady is yet to be finalised. More details on the cast will be out soon.

Some of the other releases of Raj Tarun include Anubhavinchu Raja, Standup Rahul, Power Play and Orey Bujjiga. AS Ravi Kumar Chowdary had earlier worked on other films like Em Pillo Em Pillado, Aatadistha, Veerabhadra, Yagnam and Manasutho.
