Raj Tarun to make his web debut with ZEE5's original Aha Naa Pellanta

Actor Raj Tarun, who was last seen in the urban coming-of-age tale Stand Up Rahul, is putting his recent setbacks behind and is all set to make his web debut. He'll be headlining an original titled Aha Naa Pellanta, to stream on ZEE5, where he's paired alongside Shivani Rajasekhar. Sanjeev Reddy, who helmed ABCD in the past, is directing the rom-com, bankrolled by Rahul Tamada and Saideepreddy Burra. The ZEE5 original's pooja ceremony was held at Garimella Satyanarayana (training college), Rajahmundry recently.

The formal launch event of the original was held amidst several bigwigs including Margani Bharat (parliamentarian), former MP Undavalli Arun Kumar, Chandana Nageshwar Rao, Kundala Durgesh, Adireddy Vasu, Gadamshetty Sridhar, in addition to Poorna Pragna, Radhakrishna Veni and others representing the ZEE5 team. Interestingly, Raj Tarun, who began his career with short films, is returning to the digital medium again with this project.

Aha Naa Pellanta is billed as a romantic comedy entertainer whose quirky premise is sure to grab your attention. The story revolves around a young man desperate for marriage, who lands at a suitable match with great difficulty. While he's relieved about tying the knot at last, here comes the twist. The bride elopes with her boyfriend. How does the young man deal with the shock? The groom has a revenge plan. What is in store for the two? This forms the crux of the ZEE5 Original.

The streaming platform ZEE5 and Tamada Media inform that Aha Naa Pellanta will be shot in the vicinity of Rajahmundry and surrounding areas for 15 days. While referring to the show as Raj Tarun's OTT debut, they'd mentioned that the digital medium has eliminated several barriers and actors are increasingly enthusiastic about making a mark in the OTT space. Citing the example of actor Sushanth, the team shared that Aha Naa Pellanta will showcase a new dimension to love and have a perfect blend of comedy, drama and romance spanning 8 episodes of 30 minutes each.

The filmmaker Sanjeev Reddy shared that the bride in the story elopes with her boyfriend on her wedding day while the groom is endlessly waiting for the former to arrive at the mandapam. The show will deal with his revenge-act later and how he comes to terms with the dejection. Aamani, Harshavardhan, Posani Krishna Murali, Getup Srinu, Jabardash Rajamouli, Tagubothu Ramesh, Madhunandhan, Bhadram, Raghu Karamanchi, Dorababu play important roles in the show which will have music by Judah Sandhy. Nagesh Banell cranks the camera while Kalyan Raghava pens the dialogues. 

Dawood Sheik has come up with the story and screenplay. Raghuram is on board for the lyrics. The other technicians in the lineup include editor Madhu G Reddy, production designer Divya Reddy, art director PS Varma and costume designer Lanka Santoshi.
