Rajeev Sen 'pleasently surprised’ by sister Sushmita Sen’s relationship with Lalit Modi

Recently, after IPL founder Lalit Modi revealed that he was in a relationship with actor Sushmita Sen, her brother Rajeev Sen expressed amazement at the information. After he hit national headlines, Lalit uploaded many photos of Sushmita. On the other hand, Sushmita has not addressed the announcement or any of the social media messages.

Rajeev spoke to ETimes over the same, "I am pleasantly surprised. I will speak to my sister before I say anything. I wasn’t aware of it at all. My sister is yet to confirm this from her end, so I can’t comment as of now."

On Thursday evening, Lalit stunned everyone by posting a handful of intimate photos of Sushmita on his social media account. The post read, "Just for clarity. Not married—just dating each other. That too will happen one day."

As the caption reads,"Just back in London after a whirling global tour #Maldives #Sardinia with the families, not to mention my #better looking partner @sushmitasen47 - a new beginning, a new life finally. Over the moon. Love does not mean marriage yet." He also took to Twitter to acknowledge and post about Sushmita.

Soon after Lalit posted the photos, they became viral on the Internet, and several celebrities commented on his Instagram. Ranveer Singh was one of the first celebs to react to the surprise, posting a heart and an evil emoji in the comments section.

Sushmita was previously dating Rohman Shawl, but after years of romance, they split up a few months ago. In a recent interview with Twinkle Khanna, the actress also discussed marriage. According to the former Miss Universe, she was on the verge of marrying three times, but "all three times God saved" her.

Lalit, on the other hand, was married to Minal Sagrani. They were married in 1991 and have two children together, Ruchir and Aliya. Karima Sagrani is Modi's stepdaughter from Minal's previous marriage. Minal passed away in 2018 as a result of cancer.
