Superstar Rajinikanth celebrated Maha Shivratri at the campus of Art of Living in Bengaluru. The 72-year-old superstar was seen in meditating along with his wife Latha. He was also accompanied by his elder daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth.
Aishwarya took to Instagram to share pictures from the Maha Shivratri celebrations. She posted a sunrise picture from her stay at the Bengaluru ashram and wished everyone on the occasion.
It's worth noting that earlier this month Rajinikanth hosted Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the founder of the Art of Living, at his Chennai residence. "Legendary Indian Superstar @rajinikanth and his wife, Latha Rajinikanth took blessings from Gurudev @SriSri & hosted him for lunch at their residence in Chennai," read an earlier tweet from the ashram.
Rajinikanth is a highly spirtual person. He was known for his yearly spiritual vacation. He used to wander around the spiritual cities in North India and go on physically-demanding treks to meditate in the caves of the Himalayas.
Rajinikanth on Sunday also took part in the celebration of his elder brother Sathya Narayana Rao's 80th birthday. The pictures from the event show that the celebration was marked with traditional festivities.
For the last few days, Rajinikanth has been camping in Mangaluru to shoot for his upcoming film Jailer. The picture of Rajinikanth catching up with Kannada movie star Shivarajkumar had earlier gone viral.
The production of Jailer is going on at a brisk pace. Written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, the film is being bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Besides Rajinikanth and Shivarajkumar, the film also stars Mohanlal in a key supporting role. Earlier, the shooting of the film took place in Chennai and Jaipur.
Jailer also stars Tamannaah, Ramya Krishnan, Sunil, and Jackie Shroff in the supporting cast. The film is expected in cinemas this year.
