Audiences loved watching Kangana Ranaut and R Madhavan together in Tanu Weds Manu and Tanu Weds Manu Returns. The two actors will be seen together on the big screen once again in AL Vijay’s as-yet-untitled psychological thriller. The film marks the return of the actors after 8 years. Kangana recently took to social media to reveal some details about the project, generating quite a bit of buzz on social media. What could possibly create more buzz than the actors being visited by none other than Rajiniknath on the set of their new film?
Kangana Ranaut shares photos with Thalaivar
The actress took to her social media handle to share photos with superstar Rajinikanth when he visited the set of AL Vijay’s psychological thriller. Sharing the pictures on her social media pages, the Tejas actress wrote, “Thalaivar thrilled us with his surprise visit to our set today”.
Earlier today (November 18), she expressed joy at being part of the psychological thriller and shared photos from the pooja ceremony. “Today in Chennai, we started filming our new film, a psychological thriller. Other details coming soon. For now, I need all your support and blessings for this very unusual and exciting script,” the actress wrote.
On her Instagram stories, Kangana shared a snapshot of the auspicious muhurat shot, seeking blessings for the new project and expressing gratitude. She wrote, "Need all your love and blessings for our new journey starting today, back with my many favourites.”
Kangana Ranaut’s last film, Tejas, was a box office dud
Kangana, who is known for essaying diverse roles, recently played an Air Force pilot in Tejas. Despite a star-studded cast, the film did not make a significant impact at the box office upon its release last month.
Kangana’s upcoming projects
Meanwhile, Kangana is set to play former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in Emergency. She is also the director and producer of the film. The movie has an ensemble cast that includes Anupam Kher, Shreyas Talpade, and Milind Soman. Originally slated to be released in theatres on November 24, Emergency has been rescheduled to be released next year.
Apart from this, Kangana will reprise her beloved character, Tanuja Trivedi, in the third part of the Tanu Weds Manu series. Moreover, she has two historical films, Sita: The Incarnation and Manikarnika Returns: The Legend of Didda, in which she plays the titular characters.
