Rajinikanth to release the album of Silambarasan's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu?

If the buzz in the industry is to be believed, Superstar Rajinikanth will be present at the audio launch of Gautham Menon's next. The makers are planning to have a grand ceremony in Chennai and it is said that the Superstar will be the chief guest of the event. He is likely to unveil the trailer and audio of the film. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu has music composed by AR Rahman and two singles from the from the film, Kaalathukkum Nee Venum (sung by Silambarasan and Rakshita Suresh) and Marakkuma Nenjam (sung by AR Rahman) has already been released. Lyrics for the songs are by Thamarai.

The film is gearing up to hit screens on September 15. Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, which is said to be a rustic film that traverses the journey of Silambarasan's character Muthu from his teenage years to adulthood, has Siddhi Idnani playing the leading lady. The star cast also includes Radikaa Sarathkumar, Siddique, Neeraj Madhav, and Aangelina Abraham. Cinematography is by Siddhartha Nuni and editing is by Anthony.

Siddhi revealed recently that she has dubbed for her portions herself. She wrote, "Andddd that’s a wrap for Paavai’s dubbing🤍 Thank you @menongautham sir for believing in me and letting me DUB for myself. Dreams do come true… still can’t believe I am a GVM Heroine! 🧿🥹♥️🤍 #VendhuThanindhathuKaadu (sic)."

This is the fourth collaboration between Gautham Menon and Silambarasan after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada and the short film, Karthik Dial Seytha Enn, which was a spinoff of Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya shot during the pandemic. AR Rahman has composed the music for a Silambarasan film for the fourth time after Vinnaithaandi Varuvaaya, Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada and Chekka Chivantha Vaanam. The film is written by B Jeyamohan and is bankrolled by Ishari Ganesh. The digital rights of the film have been acquired by Amazon Prime Video.
