Rajinikanth's film Thalaivar 169, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, to go on floors in August?

Fans have been eagerly waiting to see their Thalaivar back on screen. Ever since the announcement of the superstar Rajnikanth's next film was made earlier in February, their excitement has only increased several notches higher. It was made official that Thalaivar will be working on a film, directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. 

The young filmmaker who is known for films like Kokila and Doctor will be directing Rajinikanth's 169th film, tentatively titled Thalaivar 169. The filmmaker will start working on the project after his upcoming big film, Beast releases. Beast stars Vijay and Pooja Hegde. 

Thalaivar 169 was announced with a special video in February. The music is by Anirudh and the film is bankrolled by Sun Pictures. Now, as per reports, the makers are planning to start shooting for Thalaivar 169 by the month of August. In an interview, the filmmaker had revealed, according to IndiaGlitz.com, that Rajnikanth's film will go on floors post-July. Sources say Rajinikanth is now travelling to the US for a visit.

There are also many speculations that Priyanka Mohan will be playing the role of Rajini's daughter in the movie and Sivakarthikeyan will be seen in a cameo. Reports also suggest that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been approached for the role of the female lead. The makers are currently finalising the cast and crew for the film.
