As the world looks forward to watching Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming release, Jailer, Dhanush, too, has joined the bandwagon. Taking to his social media handle, Dhanush wrote, "It’s JAILER week."
Fans have found this gesture of the Captain Miller star heartening and have said that 'once a Thalaivar fan, always a Thalaivar fan'. Dhanush has proved time and again that he is a huge fan of the Superstar. He has shared his excitement on social media every time ahead of a Rajinikanth release and this time is no exception.
Jailer is touted to be Superstar Rajinikanth's comeback film, after the debacle of his last project, Annaththe, which failed to set the cash registers ringing. Rajinikanth had stated during the film's audio launch that he was under tremendous pressure before signing Jailer and that he decided to opt for the 'wait and watch' mode. "I listened to many scripts before Jailer but nothing appealed to me. In fact, I felt bad that I was rejecting so many projects. Nelson was still shooting for Beast, when he approached me for Jailer ," he said.
The film has an ensemble cast which includes Shiva Rajkumar, Jackie Shroff, Mohanlal, Sunil, Ramya Krishnan, Tamanaah, Vasanth Ravi, Vinayakan to name a few. Music for the film is by Anirudh Ravichander, cinematography by Vijay Kartik Kannan and editing by R Nirmal. Jailer is bankrolled by Sun Pictures and is said to be one of the biggest releases of Rajinikanth yet.
