Debutant actress Tanisha Santoshi, who plays a pivotal part in the upcoming film Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh, says that although she director Rajkumar Santoshi's daughter, she was not treated differently on the film set. In fact, she was made to work harder.

At the trailer launch of the film in Mumbai, the actress added that the story of the film was an eye-opener for her.

Sharing her experience of working in the film, Tanisha said, "When I heard the script, I realised that there is so much that the youth do not know about history, and that is perhaps one of the reasons I decided to debut in this film. What I learned from my director is to work hard. He (Rajkumar) is constantly evolving, and that is something I hope to do. After the release of the film, I think I will read every review to improve myself."

Asked if she had any advantage of being the daughter of the director and the actress said, "No, no. Not at all. I was not a daughter on set, but just an actor. He (Rajkumar) was not my father, but the director, who actually yelled at me a lot and made me work hard. There was very little love and pampering I got my father on the film set."

The story of the film shows the ideological differences between Nathuram Godse and Mahatma Gandhi in a fictional situation. Tanisha plays Sushma, a fictional character.

Gandhi Godse Ek Yudh directed by Rajkumar Santoshi and releases in theatres on January 26.
