Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana is enjoying a blockbuster success. The film already surpassed 500 crore at the worldwide box office collection. Amid this, Abhishek aka Jana revealed that Rajkummar's version of the song 'Calm Down' in Stree 2 cost the makers Rs 25 lakh.

In a new interview with Fever FM, Abhishek Banerjee revealed that Rajkummar Rao improvised a costly version of the popular song Calm Down for Stree 2. This improvisation added an extra expense of Rs 25 lakh to the production. 

Sharing a laugh, the actor jokingly referred to it as the most expensive improvisation in history. Banerjee added that Rao's spontaneous inclusion of the 'Low Low Low' segment from Rema's popular song, proved to be a costly endeavor. The filmmakers had to acquire the music rights for this ill-conceived improvisation for Rs 25 lakh.

In an interview with India Today, Abhishek Banerjee opened up about his experience of his working with Akshay Kumar in the film.

He said, "It was just one day [for the shoot] but I had been waiting for that one day for probably 25 years of my life, since I started watching Akshay Kumar's films. Since I have watched 'Khiladi', 'Khiladiyon Ka Khiladi', 'Sabse Bada Khiladi', 'Mr and Mrs Khiladi', 'Mohra' [all these films]. I used to be a huge Akshay Kumar fan."

About Stree 2

The horror-comedy has surpassed the ₹10 crore mark on its 13th day. According to early estimates from Sacnilk, Stree 2 collected ₹11.50 crore net in India on day 13. This brings the film's total net collection to ₹414.55 crore in India. The movie is now aiming for the ₹500 crore mark domestically.

Meanwhile, the film was released in theaters worldwide on August 15, which coincided with India's Independence Day. It also had paid previews on the night of August 14, which gained an additional ₹8.5 crore, giving it an edge over other releases like Vedaa and Khel Khel Mein.
