Rajneeti: Kaushik Ganguly, Koneenica, Ditipriya and Arjun Chakrabarty to work in Sourav Chakraborty’s new web series on Hoichoi | Exclusive

OTTplay has already reported that actor-director Sourav Chakraborty has been best preparing his web series that revolves around a political family. Initially, the show’s working title was Jogsutro. However, it has now been changed to Rajneeti. Made for the OTT platform Hoichoi, the series, Rajneeti, features Kaushik Ganguly, Koneenica Banerjee, Ditipriya Roy, and Arjun Chakrabarty. The first look of the cast members has been revealed. 

Set in the background of a political family, Rajneeti is the journey of a young girl Rashi, who is recovering from a coma after meeting with a deadly car accident a few months ago. She has lost her long-term memories since the accident and struggles to remember her past which has led her to this present. During the process of her recovery, she slowly discovers the secrets of the household, the conspiracies, and the true intentions of her near and dear ones.

Rajneeti, or politics, is the right at the centre of the series. However, it is more of a family story that involves politicians that direct political references. Earlier, in an interview, Sourav told us, “It has always been difficult to bring politics into the content. Now it has become more difficult than before. However, it is not just about party politics. Interpersonal politics within a family is also very important and if you can weave it in carefully, your story becomes more relevant.”

Sourav was seen in a number of web series as an actor. He was there in Ishaa Saha and Paayel Sarkar’s Hello! Remember Me on Hoichoi. In Zee5’s Shwetkali, also, he plays a key character.
