Raju Weds Rambai actor Chaitu Jonnalagadda to play a key role in Dulquer Salmaan's next | Exclusive

Raju Weds Rambai is one of the sleeper hits of 2025 and is all set to stream on ETV Win and OTTplay Premium from December 18, 2025. Saailu Kampati directed the film, which had Chaitu Jonnalagadda as the main villain.

His performance became a talking point ever since the film hit the screens. Post the film's success, Chaitu Jonnalagadda has become quite famous and is being flooded with offers. One of them is a Dulquer Salmaan film.

We at OTTplay have learned exclusively that Chaitu Jonnalagadda will play a crazy role in the Pawan Sadineni film, Aakasamlo Oka Tara. One of the sources close to the unit has revealed to us that Chaitu will be seen in the second half of the film and has all his combination scenes with Shruti Haasan. 

Aakasamlo Oka Tara backdrop details

Aakasamlo Oka Tara is a social drama about a young girl who dreams of becoming an astronaut. Chaitu's character comes during the second half and is shown as an NRI. His performance is going to be one of the highlights of the film. 

Not many know that Chaitu Jonnalagadda is the elder brother of star hero Siddhu Jonnalagadda and started his career with the Roshan Kanakala film Bubblegum, now streaming on OTTplay Premium. Sadly, as the film ended as a flop, he went unnoticed. 

But his breakthrough came with the recently released Raju Weds Rambai, and this led to a key role in the Dulquer Salmaan film. Chaitu is also playing the main lead in a few films, which will be out in 2027.

Though he started his career in his 40s, Chaitu has made the most of it and is doing some big films in Telugu. He has also signed a film with Gopichand Malineni that will have Balakrishna as the main lead. 

But his role in Aakasamlo Oka Tara will be one of the turning points of his career. Working with the likes of Dulquer Salmaan will surely bring the best out of him. We need to see what kind of films Chaitu Jonnalagadda does in the days to come.
