The much loved Sidharth Shukla’s recent untimely and unexpected death has plunged the Indian film industry into a dark cloud of gloom and grief. Actress and model Rakhi Sawant joined other celebrities to mourn the loss of the popular star, who passed away due to a heart attack on September 2.
Like her fellow stars, Sawant has nothing but good things to say of Shukla, whose death has shocked her and she says she had been crying for the past two days. Calling him her brother, she reminisces the time they spent together and recalls how down to earth he was. On Shukla’s Bigg Boss victory, she says that not only did he win the show, he had also won people’s hearts. She is seen breaking down into tears as she remembers the popular actor.
She expresses her concern for Shehnaaz Gill, who is said to have been in a relationship with the actor. She said that Shukla was the only happiness in Gill’s life and that she prays to God to take care of Gill and Shukla’s family in these trying times. In the video shared by TellyTalk India, Sawant is also seen offering an explanation as to why she was unable to attend Sidharth Shukla’s funeral. She said that it was 'not safe for a woman to go in such crowds'.
As she remembers the late star, she becomes overwhelmed with emotion, leaving before the media could ask her anything more.
Sidharth was last seen in AltBalaji's web series Broken But Beautiful 3 in 2021. He had also made appearances on the shows Bigg Boss OTT and Dance Deewane 3 with Shehnaaz Gill.
