Farah Khan recently opened up about how the casting of her films Main Hoon Na, Om Shanti Om, and Tees Maar Khan was done. While spilling beans about Main Hoon Na starring Shah Rukh Khan and Sushmita Sen, the filmmaker revealed how Rakhi Sawant auditioned for the movie. In conversation with Mashable, Farah recalled that Rakhi turned up for the audition test in a 'burka'. What happened next? Let's find out...

Rakhi Sawant's audition for Main Hoon Na

Farah Khan went down memory lane and recalled how Rakhi Sawant joined the shoot of Main Hoon Na two days after the movie went on floors. The filmmaker shared, "Rakhi turned up for the test in a burka. The assistant was wary as it was ‘the hot girl’s role’. However, Rakhi in her typical style told him to roll the camera."

Later, when the camera rolled, Rakhi Sawant took off the burka and the entire camera was shaking. Wondering why? It is because the actress was wearing a bikini underneath. In fact, she didn't immediately come on board for the movie as she had orange hair. And once Rakhi reached Darjeeling for the shoot, the only concern was to cover up Rakhi.

"I was giving her sweaters and berets and she wanted to expose. I had to tell her you will look lovely like this as well," revealed Farah.

The filmmaker further shared that it was lovely to work with Rakhi Sawant on Main Hoon Na. Farah revealed that the actress' only request was to make her stand next to Shah Rukh Khan or behind him in a song. And Rakhi was happy with that.

Apart from SRK, Sushmita, and Rakhi, the star cast of Farah's directorial venture featured Kirron Kher, Zayed Khan, Amrita Rao, and Suniel Shetty in pivotal roles.

Farah Khan's work front

Meanwhile, on the work front, Farah Khan's last directorial project was Happy New Year, which starred Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. The filmmaker recently wrapped up the shoot of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11. She was one of the judges of the dance reality show.
