An inspector with an unkempt moustache and beard that’s unbecoming of an officer, point out other staff at the police station that Raj B Shetty’s character is seen taking charge of. He’s the man they think has been “getting treatment at the mental hospital”. If that isn’t enough of a red flag, he’s also quite the tippler. And yet, he’s the one that his superiors charge with cracking a mysterious murder in a small town where the crime rate is generally on the lower side.
What does he uncover in chasing an old black car that was used to dispose the body? Who is behind the crime? Is there a supernatural connect to the death, as the towns folk say? This is what he has to get to the bottom of. Raj is joined by Gopalkrishna Deshpande, Archana Kottige, Swathishta Krishna, among others.
Rakkasapuradhol is the directorial debut of Ravi Saranga, who’s worked with filmmaker Prem for many years. It also marks the debut of popular stunt master Ravi Verma as producer. Given Ravi Verma and Prem’s association with the film, Kiccha Sudeep took time off from his CCL commitments and launched the trailer on January 29, ahead of the February 6 theatrical outing. Music is by Arjun Janya, while cinematography is credited to William David.

This is Raj’s 3rd release in the span of 2 months. He was a part of Janya’s directorial debut 45, which was a Christmas 2025 release and dropped on OTT recently. He is also the antagonist in Duniya Vijay’s Landlord that released on January 23. Rakkasapuradhol, though, has Raj in the lead.
