The trailer of Barun Sobti’s Rakshak: Chapter 2 is unveiled and it sees him in the role of an army officer named Naib Subedar Sombir Singh. The show also features Surbhi Chandna in the role of his wife. The recently released promo reveals about a plan that was about to be executed after the Pulwama attacks and how Subedar stops the same. He brings the URI dialogue ‘ghar mein ghus ke maarange’ to life with the scene.

The scene

Much like in URI, the mission to eliminate the threat was carried out and is a part of Rakshak: Chapter 2 trailer. Barun, who plays Subedar, enters a place with weapons, determined to eliminate anything that threatens to harm his Nation and the officials of it.

The story

Following events of Pulwama attacks, a bigger attack was planned. The Defence Minister and Chief of the Army were targets this time around. Subedar joins hands with DySP Aman Thakur to carry out their operations in Kashmir in 2019. Unfortunately, they lost their own lives while carrying out their mission successfully.

About the release

Directed by Ajay Bhuyan, Rakshak: Chapter 2 also stars Amit Gaur and Vishwas Kini in pivotal roles apart from Barun and Surbhi. The show is produced by Samar Khan and written by Bijesh Jayarajan. Mohinder Pratap Singh has worked on the dialogues of the Amazon miniTV series which will be out on February 22.

Barun and Surbhi’s last projects

Barun was last seen in Kohrra, which also received many acclaims. Apart from Rakshak, he has Donali, Bawandar and Raat Jawan Hai in the pipeline. Surbhi, on the other hand, was last seen in the TV series Shedil Shergill. She was also a part of the music video Tumhari Mohabbat opposite Parth Samthaan. The same was out a few days back, on February 8.
