Rakshit wants to focus on his directorials, but he will make exceptions for Hemanth

Kannada actor-filmmaker Rakshit Shetty and director Hemanth M Rao have been pronouncing their love for each other very often these days. They have just done a film together, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, which is their second collaboration. Releasing in two parts, with the first set to drop on September 1, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello is an intense love story , a first for both Hemanth and Rakshit and once he’s done with the release of the second part, the actor is looking at focusing on his own directorials for a while. Rakshit had last directed almost a decade ago and will return with Richard Anthony, a film that will serve as a prequel and sequel to his earlier Ulidavaru Kandante.
Rakshit had tweeted earlier that for the foreseeable future, he will be busy with his own films, including a two-part Punyakoti and Midway to Moksha. For Kirik Party 2, he said he had other plans. But having said that, during the Sapta Sagaradaache Ello promotions, Rakshit made it abundantly clear that if Hemanth were to come to him to work on another film, he would, no doubt, make an exception and do the filmmaker’s movie at the drop of a hat. In fact, Rakshit added that with Hemanth, he would take up the film even without a script narration. Hemanth has also been quoted as saying that if he had a choice, he would only do films with Rakshit. The director, who debuted with Godhi Banna Sadharana Mykattu with Rakshit in the lead, had pitched his next, Kavaludaari also to the actor, but at that point, he was unable to take it up and, hence, went to Rishi. With Sapta Sagaradaache Ello, they have reunited and are looking at continuing their working relationship.
The film is being distributed in theatres by KVN Productions and will release in Kannada only initially. If there is demand for it to be dubbed in other languages, Rakshit will make it available subsequently. The two parts of the film are releasing 7 weeks apart, on September 1 and October 20 respectively. In the first part, Rakshit is paired with Rukmini Vasanth and in the second with Chaithra J Achar.
