Rakul Preet Singh and Jackky Bhagnani will exchange vows in a holy 'phera' ritual on February 21 in the early evening. A haldi ceremony was the first of many pre-wedding celebrations that started a few days ago. On February 20, the sangeet took place and featured performances by close friends and relatives. Today, February 21, the happy couple will tie the knot.

Wedding day schedule

A source familiar with the couple's plans informed India Today that Rakul's 'Chuddha' ceremony will take place in the morning. After 3:30 p.m., at the ITC Grand South Goa, the happy couple will have their saath pheras. To honour their respective cultures, Rakul and Jackky will tie the knot with a dual ceremony that combines Anand Karaj with a Sindhi-style ritual. The happy couple wanted a lighthearted beginning to their married life, so they chose an early evening ceremony.

Rakul and Jackky plan to throw an after-party for all of their guests after the ceremony. The couple's close circle of friends and relatives will be there to celebrate this special moment with them, the insider said.

Blending contemporary and traditional elements

As they begin their next chapter as a married couple, many can't wait to see photos from the big day. According to the insider, the newlyweds would also take pictures together after the ceremony.

The sangeet and mehendi rituals for Rakul and Jackky took place on February 20. Varun Dhawan, their mutual friend, danced to Husn Hai Suhana from Coolie No. 1 at the sangeet. Members of the actor's family, as well as Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra, performed at the ceremony.
