Today morning, news poured in stating that the celebrated Hollywood actor Ray Stevenson died at the age of 58. The cause of his death is yet known. News portal Variety confirmed the development.
The Italian newspaper La Repubblica reported he had been hospitalised with a sudden illness on the island of Ischia in Italy. It conveys, “Stevenson died on May 21 at the age of 58 while filming Cassino in Ischia in Italy, four days before his 59th birthday.”
Soon after this news came in, several celebrities and fans felt saddened. Many of them offered condolences to the actor’s near and dear ones.

Reacting on the development, director SS Rajamouli wrote, “Shocking... Just can't believe this news. Ray brought in so much energy and vibrancy with him to the sets. It was infectious. Working with him was pure joy. My prayers are with his family. May his soul rest in peace.”
Indian actors Jr NTR and Ram Charan also expressed grief on the development. Jr NTR tweeted, “Shocked to hear about Ray Stevenson's passing. Gone too soon. It was a great experience working with him. May his soul rest in peace. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and dear ones during this difficult time.”

Ray Stevenson, the Northern Irish actor was best known for his works as a villainous British governor in RRR, Volstagg in the Thor films and a main antagonist in the upcoming Star Wars series Ahsoka.
