The cast and crew of the upcoming multilingual movie, which is tentatively titled RC 15, on Monday released a special video message to wish the newlywed couple Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra. The film's director Shankar, the leading star Ram Charan and the producer 'Dil' Raju led the other cast and crew members in wishing the couple. "Team #RC15 #SVC50 wishes @SidMalhotra and @advani_kiara a very happy married life! Wishing you a lifetime of happiness, love and light," tweeted Sri Venkateswara Creations, the film's production banner.
Kiara Advani and Sidharth Malhotra got married on February 7 in Jaisalmer in presence of their family members and close friends. And on Sunday, the couple hosted the wedding reception for the members of the film fraternity. The who's who of Hindi cinema, including Karan Johar, Alia Bhatt, Ranveer Singh and Kareena Kapoor to name a few took part in the celebration.
On the career front, Kiara Advani is playing the female lead in RC 15, which is written and directed by Shankar. It won't be wrong to say that RC 15 is one of the most highly-anticipated movies of 2023. The filmmakers have so far not revealed a lot of details about the project, except for its main cast and crew. Besides Charan and Kiara, the film stars S. J. Suryah, Anjali, Jayaram, Sunil, Naasar, Srikanth, and Samuthirakani in the supporting cast.
Last week, Shankar resumed shooting RC15. The filmmaker is simultaneously shooting RC15 and Indian 2. It's for the first time in his long and successful career, Shankar is dabbling with two big projects at the same time. Shankar's Indian 2 came to a grinding halt in February 2020 following a freak road accident on the sets that killed three crew members. The subsequent Covid-induced lockdown added to the delay. Shankar was also at loggerheads with the film's producers Lyca Productions, involving several bouts of legal battles too. In the meantime, Shankar moved on and started making RC 15 with Ram Charan. However, following the blockbuster success of Kamal Haasan's Vikram, Red Gaint Movies came on board as the new producers and revived the project. And the new deal required Shankar to start the project without any further delay.
Both Indian 2 and RC 15 are expected to arrive in cinemas in the second half of this year.
