Ram Gopal Varma’s ambitious new directorial, Ladki: Enter the Girl Dragon, made history recently. The upcoming martial arts film became the first Hindi film in history to have it’s trailer be screened on the iconic Burj Khalifa skyscraper in Dubai.

The launch event of the film’s international trailer was attended by Varma and the film’s lead star Pooja Bhalekar, along with the cast and crew. The director took to Twitter to express his elation at the historic trailer launch, calling it ‘the most thrilling moment’ in his whole career. His post accompanied a video from the event.

Bhalekar too was brimming with emotion at the event, calling it one of the most memorable moments of her life and thanking the director for giving her the opportunity to be a part of the film.

Ladki: Enter the Girl Dragon is a martial arts film, which Varma has described as being a tribute to one of the world’s most well known martial artists, Bruce Lee. The trailer launch comes on the heels of the birth anniversary of the late star, which was on November 27.

The film’s global theatrical release will also include China, where the film will be screened under the title of Dragon Girl. The film’s Telugu title is Ammayi.

The upcoming film is produced under the banners of Artsee Media, Big People and Parijatha Movie Creations.

Ladki: Enter the Girl Dragon is slated to be released in theaters on December 10.
