Ram Pothineni's Ismart Shankar 2: Puri Jagan to unveil release date and female leads in a massive announcement

Puri Jagan, who faced a massive setback with the box office disappointment of his last film, Liger, starring Vijay Devarakonda, is now gearing up for a comeback. The talented director is all set to helm the sequel to his blockbuster hit, Ismart Shankar, with Ram Pothineni in the lead role. The scripting of the film is almost complete and the project is scheduled to go on floors this October, 2023. 

We at OTTpplay had already reported that the film will be officially launched in the second week of July. Well, the news is that Puri Jagan and Ram are all set to make a massive announcement tomorrow morning regarding the film. Whether it is the release date or the names of the female leads need to be seen. Puri Jagan, along with producer Charmee, is determined to make this film on a massive scale this time around.

The collaboration between Puri Jagan and Ram Pothineni has already created a buzz in the industry, considering their previous successful outing with Ismart Shankar. The word in the film circles is that Bollywood heroine, Shraddha Kapoor has been roped in to play one of the leads. Meenakshi Chowdhary of HIT 2 fame will be playing the other lead.

Nabha Natesh and Naddhi Agerwal played the leads in the first installment and we need to see if they will be regained in this film or not. Meanwhile, Ram Pothineni's Skanda with Boyapati Sreenu is nearing completion The film's teaser which was released a few weeks ago, garnered a positive response from the audience. 

The excitement of Ram's fans has now doubled with the announcement of Ismart Shankar 2 which has been titled Double Ismart. The word also is that Mani Sharma, who gave foot-tapping music for Ismart Shankar will also compose music for the sequel. As Puri Jagan and Ram Pothineni join forces once again, the industry and fans eagerly anticipate what the deadly combo is up to this time around.
