The film competes fairly with Thank God, which was released on the same day.

On the strength of activity in mass centres, Ram Setu posts a respectable first-day total of roughly Rs 15 crore nett. The grosses in the larger markets are respectable, but the film's performance is being driven by the mass markets.
As per Box Office India, Rajasthan is expected to gross over one crore net while CP Berar will do about that. The plot is the same in Gujarat/Saurashtra, UP, Bihar, Canada, and Bihar, which all do well for the movie. When Gujarat and Saurashtra are added, the Mumbai circuit is likely to make more than Rs 5 crore net.
Thank God may have been tough competition in this important Gujarat block during Diwali because it is a comedy. But Ram Setu won easily because, Thank God, it is not seen as the kind of popular comedy that Indra Kumar is known for.
According to production statistics, the movie made Rs. 15.25 crore on its first day of release. The movie, which was directed by Abhishek Sharma, had the second-best opening for a Hindi film in 2022. Akshay's greatest opening of the year was also made possible by the incredible box office receipts.
The performance will be worse in the South, but this is to be expected because movies that do well in the Hindi belt perform worse there. After Brahmastra, Ram Setu will have the second-best opening for an original Hindi film of the year. Even though the total collections are half, circuits with a high concentration of mass centres have collections that are about 30% lower.
The Akshay Kumar movie followed the usual trend of Diwali when single screens do better than multiplexes. This trend should continue over the holiday season, but real success will come if it can sustain itself after the holiday season.
The movie's box office earnings are also nearly twice as high as those of Akshay Kumar's final release, Raksha Bandhan, which was also released on a holiday, but one that wasn't as significant as Diwali.
Talking about Ram Setu, the film is directed by Abhishek Sharma and also features Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushrratt Bharuccha, and Satya Dev in pivotal roles.
