National award-winning Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar starrer film Ram Setu which is releasing on Diwali did not follow the usual route of showing the film to the critics for its review. Usually, a preview is arranged for the media so they can watch the movie beforehand. However, the press show is now held on the same day of the release and shows will already start screening by then.

The big question is why? It is only natural to ask what could be the real reason that the makers decided to skip a preview show for one of the most-awaited films of the year?

OTTplay got to know the real reason why the makers took such a step. There’s an interesting story to that.

According to a source close to the production house, the film has an interesting climax that comes in the last 20 minutes. The makers claim that it will surprisingly blow everyone’s mind with delight.

We have also come to know that the makers took extra time during the post-production for making its visual effects better than ever. The film has been shot in Ooty, Daman and Diu and Mumbai. Though earlier the makers had the plan to shoot some portions of the film in Sri Lanka, due to the pandemic, they had to reschedule the plan with an alternative location in Kerela and Gujarat.

Directed by Abhishek Sharma, and the story of the film revolves around unearthing some truth of history. In the film, Akshay is playing the protagonist named Dr. Aryan Kulshrestha, who is an archaeologist, in search of the truth from history, which has become a major part of mythology too.

Earlier this week, the makers revealed that the superstar had multiple sessions with the stunt choreographers Anl Arasu and Parvez Shaikh to design the scenes and to ensure that they are a visual treat for audiences. In fact, there were times when Akshay would try some of the stunts himself before the scene, just to check how safe they are, so that he and the entire action team could be safe during the actual shoot.

Produced by Cape of Good Films and Abundantia Entertainment, Ram Setu also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, Nushrratt Bharuccha and Satyadev Kancharana in pivotal roles. It releases in theatres on October 25.
