Ramachandra Boss & Co Twitter review: Nivin Pauly's comedy drama is 'fun'

Malayalam star Nivin Pauly's comedy-heist entertainer Ramachandra Boss & Co was released in cinemas on Friday, ahead of the Onam holiday. Historically, this holiday has always been lucky for Nivin, as his previous Onam releases had all turned out to be box-office hits. With back-to-back commercial flops, fans are hoping that history will repeat itself and Ramachandra Boss & Co might just strike a chord with the moviegoers. 

Nivin's Onam hits!

Nivin's Love Action Drama was released in cinemas during the 2019 Onam festival. The out-and-out romantic drama marked the directorial debut of Dhyan Sreenivasan. And it received to a rousing response from the movie patrons, making it one of the biggest hits of Malayalam cinema that year. Nivin, who had pivoted to playing dark, gritty, and realistic characters, looked fresh doing what he does best: romance with a generous amount of comedy.

And during 2017 Onam, it was Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela. A feel-good family drama about a happy family that struggles to come to terms with when one of its members is diagnosed with cancer. 

All of Nivin's theatrical releases since 2022 have failed to appeal to the masses. Even though he has made a career playing romantic roles, Nivin has been actively redefining his onscreen image with darker and even nihilistic performances. 

Mahaveeryar, Padavettu, Saturday Night, and Thuramukham all tanked at the box office, despite some of them managing to get positive reviews from the critics. 

Ramachandra Boss & Co gets positive reactions

Fans are hoping that Ramachandra Boss & Co will help Nivin to break the losing streak at the box office. And the early reactions on Twitter suggest the audiences are enjoying the comedy in the movie.

Ramachandra Boss & Co marks the second collaboration between Nivin and director Haneef Adeni after Mikhael. The movie also stars Vinay Forrt, Jaffar Idukki, Mamitha Baiju, Aarsha Chandini Baiju, Vijilesh and Sreenath Babu.
