We at OTTplay have already reported that a film titled Ramanna Youth was struggling to find an OTT partner. ETV Win bought the rights for a nominal price, and now, the film is streaming online and has taken a solid start.
Ramanna Youth nears the 25 million streaming minutes mark
Ramanna Youth started streaming on May 30, 2024, and since then, only positive reports about the film have come out. Comments are being passed about how politics spoils lives in the small towns of Telangana. One of the sources close to ETV Win has revealed to us that Ramanna Youth has already clocked 25 million streaming minutes,, which is rare for a film with no star cast.
Ramanna Youth is written, acted, and directed by Abhai Naveen, of Pelli Choopulu fame. He plays a youth leader who gets cheated by a corporation. The best part of the film is the way Naveen acted and narrated the film in a gripping manner. As the film was set in rural Telangana, its reach was limited during its release.
Now that the film is streaming on OTT, the reach has become a bit wider. Aneel Jela, Vishnu, Thagubothu Ramesh, and Srikanth Iyengar play other crucial roles in the film, which Rajini bankrolled under Firefly Arts. Ramanna Youth is about a group of friends who are passionate about politics.
