Ramarao On Duty OTT release date: When and where to watch the Ravi Teja, Divyansha Kaushik and Rajisha Vijayan starrer

Ramarao on Duty was the second theatrical release for Ravi Teja this year after Khiladi. The action entertainer had story, screenplay, direction and dialogues by Sarath Mandava (in his Telugu debut). The film, which hit theatres on July 29, was bankrolled by Sudhakar Cherukuri under Sree Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas. After a poor theatrical run, the actioner is all set for a world digital premiere in September. SonyLIV had acquired the streaming rights for the film.

The Ravi Teja starrer will officially stream on SonyLIV from September 15. Divyansha Kaushik and Rajisha Vijayan played the female leads in the same. The film also marked the on-screen comeback of actor Venu Thottempudi in a crucial role. The supporting cast of Ramarao on Duty includes Nasser, Naresh, Pavitra Lokesh, Sarpatta fame John Vijay, Chaitanya Krishna, Tanikella Bharani, Rahul Ramakrishna, Eerojullo Sree, Madhu Sudan Rao and Surekha Vani.

The story revolves around Ramarao, an honest government officer, who is ready to go to any lengths to protect the voiceless. When he’s transferred to a village in Rayalaseema, a tragedy in the life of his ex-lover forces him to dig deep into a larger issue. Will Ramarao succeed in his pursuit and find answers to these mysteries? Venu is cast as a corrupt cop in the film. While Divanysha plays Ravi Teja’s on-screen wife, Rajisha essays the part of his former lover.

Ramarao on Duty is a story set in mid 1990s.The film had music by Sam CS with Sathyan Sooryan ISC cranking the camera. Praveen KL had edited the actioner which had production design by Sahi Suresh. In the promotional interview, the director had stated that the film was inspired by true events. SonyLIV’s other popular releases in 2022 include Skylab, Clap, Gargi, Sharwanand’s Aadavallu Meeku Johaarlu and Anil Ravipudi-directed comic caper F3. The platform will soon stream Brinda, that marks Trisha’s Telugu OTT debut.
