This is because the movie has been in post-production for what seems like forever and there have been little to no updates. Some updates from the movie have been about pictures from the sets of the movie, some first looks, details about leading man Ranbir Kapoor, who plays Lord Ram, flying to LA for the last leg of technical prep, and much more. Including some about the cast: Sai Pallavi plays Mata Sita, Yash plays Raavan and Sunny Deol is Hanuman.

Right when we thought about how much bigger the magnum opus gets, the latest news is that American music composer Hans Zimmer might make his Indian debut with Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana, which already has AR Rahman on board. Hans Zimmer Roped in For Ramayana?
As per a report in Pinkvilla, Nitesh Tiwari and producer Namit Malhotra are close to cracking a deal with Oscar-winning Hollywood music composer Hans Zimmer to get on board for Ramayana. He is expected to work alongside AR Rahman, who is also an Oscar winner. A source close to the development has even said that Zimmer is fascinated with Tiwari’s vision for the epic.
“Hans Zimmer is gearing up to make his debut in the Indian film industry with Ramayana. Namit Malhotra and Nitesh Tiwari have always been vocal about their global vision for this Indian epic, and they are leaving no stone unturned to make that a reality. Hans Zimmer is also fascinated by the vision for the story of Lord Ram and is ready to compose the score of Ramayana,” said the source.
This is indeed massive, because if Hans Zimmer gets on board Ramayana, it will mark his debut in India. The composer is famous for elevating films like Dune, Interstellar, The Dark Knight, Man Of Steel, Dunkirk, Gladiator and many others with his top-notch work. He will have AR Rahman by his side, who will be composing the album for the movie. The source calls the two "a match made in heaven".
The Leaks and First Looks
Additionally, Ramayana is also making news for the leaked first looks from the sets of the film. There are the second set of pictures from the Ramayana sets, and they now offer the first look of Lara Dutta, Sheeba Chadha, and Arun Govil, who reportedly play Kaikeyi, Manthara, and King Dasharath respectively.
