Ramayana: Kajal Aggarwal joins Ranbir Kapoor's film as Raavana's wife? Here's what we know
Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, Yash, and others. Now, a recent report suggests that Kajal Aggarwal has joined the cast for one of the most-awaited films.

Ramayana is one of the most-awaited projects of Nitesh Tiwari. The film stars an ensemble cast including Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash in the lead roles. Ramayana is scheduled to be released in two parts in 2026 and 2027, respectively. Amid this, a new report suggests that Kajal Aggarwal has joined the cast as Raavana's wife.

As per the Times of India, Kajal Aggarwal has been roped in for Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana. She will play the role of Raavan's wife, Mandodari, in the movie. A source told TOI, "Kajal just did her look test last week, and will be playing the character of Mandodari opposite Yash. She has started shooting for the bit recently. The makers are currently shooting Ravana's Lanka bits."
Meanwhile, earlier reports mentioned that The Royals star Sakshi Tanwar would play the role of Mandodari, but now, it is Kajal reportedly. However, an official announcement from the makers is still awaited.

Maharashtra CM on Ranbir Kapoor's Ramayana
During the Waves Summit 2025, the Maharashtra CM praised the production of the film Ramayana. He said that we are the oldest storytellers in the world, and our art, drama, and music are very old, and we just wanted to connect them with the latest technology.
"I think that’s what you are doing. So, yesterday, when I visited your pavilion with the Prime Minister, I was amazed to see the quality of Ramayana that you are creating. I think this is the way we need to tell our stories to the new generation, and I believe what you are setting up will be the best in the globe," he said.
Meanwhile, in Nitesh Tiwari's Ramayana, Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Lord Ram while Sai Pallavi will play Sita. KGF star Yash will play Raavana, and Kunal Kapoor will play Lord Indra. Apart from them, Sunny Deol and Lara Dutta will reportedly play the roles of Lord Hanuman and Kaikeyi, respectively.
