Coming soon to theatres in India in four languages—Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu—is the much-anticipated animated feature Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama. Geek Pictures India has unveiled the poster and trailer, and fans are already quite excited. Shri V Vijayendra Prasad, renowned for his work on Baahubali, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, and RRR, among other blockbuster films, has added his original vision to this adaptation, elevating the film's grandeur.
In the film, we see three queens giving birth to four princes, all of whom rose to prominence, in the ancient Indian city of Ayodhya, the royal residence of the Kosala Kingdom. Prince Rama faced fourteen years of banishment due to palace intrigue, and he and his lovely wife Sita sought refuge in the forest. The demon king Ravana, enraged by Rama's defeat of the forest demons, abducts Sita. Indian mythology's vast Ramayana epic serves as the inspiration for the film.
The co-founder of Geek Pictures India, Arjun Aggarwal, expressed his belief that this innovative and exciting take on the age-old story of Ram will surely resonate with viewers of all backgrounds and generations. An unprecedented demonstration of the power of Indo-Japanese partnerships, the animated Ramayana is a game-changer.
Released around the Indian festivals of Dussehra and Diwali, Ramayana: The Legend of Prince Rama is shaping up to be a spectacular film that celebrates both India's cultural diversity and Japan's animation genius. With distribution from Excel Entertainment, AA Films, and Geek Pictures India, the movie is ready to enthrall viewers all over India.
