Actors Ramesh Pisharody and Dharmajan have always managed to leave the audience in splits with their sketches in the TV show Badai Bungalow and their skits in several stage shows. Now, the two will be seen in full-length roles in the upcoming movie Aap Kaise Ho, which will be directed by debutant Vinay Jose.
The film, which is scripted by Dhyan Sreenivasan, is based on the incidents that happen during a bachelor party. “It will probably be the first time that Ramesh and Dharmajan will be seen in a movie in full-length roles,” Vijay tells us.
Aap Kaise Ho, which will go on floors this week in Ernakulam, is a comedy “based on what happens when old friends get together”. The movie also has Dhyan, Saiju Kurup, Aju Varghese, Surabhi Santosh and a Bengali actress as part of the cast.
Vinay, who had assisted filmmakers such as Jude Anthany Joseph and G Marthandan, was initially set to make his directorial debut with Pathira Kurabana, which had Dhyan, Aju and Neeraj Madhav in the lead. The movie, however, has been pushed due to the pandemic and the team has decided to go ahead with Aap Kaise Ho first.
Meanwhile, Ramesh, who was last seen in Laughing Buddha that released on the OTT platform Jai Ho a week ago, is also playing the lead in No Way Out. The film, directed by Nithin Devidas, is a survival thriller in which the actor plays a Dubai returnee. No Way Out also has Raveena Nair and is currently being filmed in Kerala.
