Ramya reviews Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe – Vinay Rajkumar has carried the legacy of the family gracefully

Kannada actress Ramya has a close relationship with the Doddamane – the Rajkumar family – what with her having started her film journey opposite the late Power Star Puneeth Rajkumar in Abhi and following that up with two more movies with him, Aakash and Arasu. She has also worked with Shivarajkumar in Aryan.

Ramya, who is preparing for her return to cinema with Daali Dhananjaya’s two-part gangster tale Uttarakaanda, took time out to watch Vinay Rajkumar’s new film, Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe, in a theatre, and couldn’t stop gushing. Taking to social media, Ramya posted a picture of her and Vinay from many years ago and wrote about how much she loved the film, and how much he has grown as an artiste over the years.

Ramya was very appreciative of how well Vinay handled the comedy and emotional sequences in the film and noted that he has carried the legacy of the family gracefully. She added that she was proud of his journey and that she was happy to see a theatre packed with family audiences for a Kannada film, a sight she’s seen after a long time. As for the film, the actress said that Simple Suni had presented a simple love story, brimming with freshness and humour.

Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe opened in theatres on February 9. The film revolves around Vinay’s character Athishay, an aspiring music director, whose goals in life are to become a successful musician and to find the girl of his dreams, someone whose voice matches the rhythm of his heart. And just when he thinks he’s found that special someone in Madhura (Mallika Singh), a talented singer, his folks get him married to his childhood pal Anuraga (Swathishta Krishnan), an arrangement that both of them hope to get out of soon enough. Will Athishay and Anuraga find what their hearts are looking for? This is what the film is about.

Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe review: Suni serves a largely delightful rom-com that makes for a fun watch 

The film has music by Veer Samarth, and has as many as 10 songs, with Ninyaarele and Gunu Gunugu already hits. Also, on the cast of Ondu Sarala Prema Kathe are Aruna Balraj, Rajesh Nataranga, Sadhu Kokila, Karthik Mahesh, among others.
