Rana Daggubati launches the Telugu trailer of Arya's Sarpatta Parambarai

Director Pa. Ranjith's latest Tamil sports drama, Sarpatta Parambarai, starring Arya, Dushara Vijayan, Pasupathi in pivotal roles, is slated to release on Amazon Prime Video on July 22. The film (dubbed version) will now release in Telugu as Sarpatta Parampara on the OTT platform. Sarpatta Parampara's trailer was launched by actor, producer Rana Daggubati on Friday.

Rana shared a post with the words 'here's welcoming' (Sarpatta) followed by the trailer link on social media besides adding, “Fantastic trailer, best wishes to the team”. Sarpatta Parambarai, set in the 70s Tamil Nadu, revolves around the story of Kabilan, a youngster from the Sarpatta clan who is keen to prove a point with his expertise in the boxing ring. He clashes against the men from the rival Idayappa clan and tries to succeed amidst a series of hurdles that come his way.

Dushara Vijayan plays the role of Mariamma in the film, who's the wife of Kabian and is a strong support system for the sportsman. John Kokken, Kalaiyarasan, Anupama Kumar and Sanchana Natarajan essay other crucial roles in the film. Arya and Pa. Ranjith are well-known names among Telugu crowds as well and it wouldn't be an exaggeration to expect a fair share of the film's viewership coming from Telugu people. Meanwhile, Rana's next film Virata Parvam is in talks with Netflix for a direct-to-OTT release.
