Rana Daggubati shares the first look of Lakshmi Manchu’s Agninakshatram

Actress-producer Lakshmi Manchu seems to be quite upbeat about her new action thriller film, Agninakshatram. Amplifying the excitement, her friend, actor Rana Daggubati, has shared a glimpse of the upcoming movie on social media.

Revealing the first look of the film on Instagram, Rana said, “Lakshmi is going to surprise everyone with this film. She plays a cop and a badass one! I have seen some rushes and it really looks fabulous.” 

The actor added that he is more than happy to support Lakshmi, as both of them have known each other for years.

Adding to that, Lakshmi said, “Rana is a close friend, a confidante, and he supports me in everything I do. I am happy to see he is wishing the team well. He has been excited for this project of mine right from the beginning. It is an extremely special one.”

Agninakshatram is a high-octane action crime thriller, in which Lakshmi is playing the character of a police officer. The film also features her father, Padma Shri awardee Mohan Babu, alongside Samuthirakani, Viswant Chitra and Siddique, among other actors.

Speaking about working with her father for the first time, Lakshmi said, “Sharing screen space with dad is beyond a dream come true. And to top it off, to produce this gives me that much more extra joy. I just can’t wait for this to hit the screens!” Produced by the father and daughter duo under their home banner, Sree Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures and Manchu Entertainment, the film is directed by Prateek Prajosh.

Lakshmi is known for acting in films like Anaganaga O Dheerudu, Chandamama Kathalu and Gundello Godari. She has also been part of the Netflix film, Pitta Kathalu, and American TV series Las Vegas, Desperate Housewives and Late Nights with my Lover, among others. She has also done talk shows like Prematho Mee Lakshmi, Luckunte Lakshmi, Doosukeltha, Memu Saitham, Maharani and Aha Bhojanambu.
