Rana Naidu: Venkatesh being trolled for doing such a bold show

Rana Naidu marks the debut of Telugu superstars Venkatesh and Rana into the world of OTT. They play father and son in this series which is now streaming on Netflix. The response has not been great and only Venkatesh and Rana's performances have been lauded. The audience in the northern belt are liking this series which has a slow narrative but back in the south and especially in Tollywood, the reactions are negative.

Fans and the general audience are shocked to see the uncle and nephew act in a series filled with sex and cuss words. Venkatesh has a clean family image in the south and tried to go out of his comfort zone for Rana Naidu. But it has backfired as the response has been very bad and everyone is trolling him for doing such a show which cannot be watched with family.

Whenever Venkatesh does a project, it comes with a lot of expectations. When he teamed up with his nephew Rana, the odds were even higher. But when the series started streaming and until now, the response to the show in Tollywood is negative. One of the ardent fans commented on social media "Never expected Venkatesh to act in such a show filled with filth and sex acts".

Yet another person said, "It is hard to understand as to what made Venky and Rana act in a series like this". But the general comment is that both the uncle and nephew accepted this series as they were paid a bomb as their fee. The series is filled with cuss words and a few sexual acts which are not going well with the audience here in Telugu. As it is an OTT, it won't affect the image of both the actors but the general opinion about them doing this show is completely negative.
