Ranbir Kapoor and Aamir Khan were the surprises in the month of January
Ever since Animal became a grand success, Ranbir Kapoor has been reaping the benefits of the film. The actor, who played the lead in the movie, has even beaten the popularity of actors like Akshay Kumar and Hrithik Roshan post the film’s success, according to a report on Ormax Media. In fact, Aamir Khan, who has taken a break from Bollywood, is also more popular than Vicky Kaushal in the month of January.
Ranbir in top 3
Salman Khan took back the second spot as the most popular actor. This was at the time when Bigg Boss 17 finale was coming closer. Ranbir’s popularity, thus, dropped by one rank, but he made it to top three at the third rank. Shah Rukh Khan, who gave three releases in 2023 (all of which worked at the Box Office), still led as the most popular Bollywood star.
Akshay Kumar, who was otherwise in top three, ranked fourth on the list. Hrithik Roshan followed suit at number five. He will be seen in the YRF Spy Universe film War 2 next. The movie is helmed by Ayan Mukerji, who makes his debut in the universe.
Aamir Khan beats Vicky Kaushal
Aamir’s popularity had dropped drastically after he took a break from Bollywood. The third Khan’s last film was Laal Singh Chaddha, which also did not work at the Box Office (after Thugs of Hindostan). Aamir is busy with his family life since and was seen at Ira Khan’s wedding in the month of January. He beat Vicky Kaushal to be on the sixth rank.
Vicky, last seen in Sam Bahadur (which has a loyal fanbase), ranked seventh on the list. Ranveer Singh, Kartik Aaryan and Sidharth Malhotra followed suit. Ranveer was seen at the eighth spot, Kartik ninth and Sidharth 10th spot respectively. Ranveer was last seen in Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani and will be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra next. Kartik was a part of SatyaPrem Ki Katha and his next is Kabir Khan’s Chandu Champion. Sidharth was recently seen in the web version of Rohit Shetty Cop Universe, Indian Police Force and he will soon be on the big screen through the aerial-action film, Yodha.
