Bollywood star Ranbir Kapoor is preparing for Luv Ranjan's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. With his 2013 smash hit Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani, the movie will mark Ranbir's return to the rom-com genre, and the actor is quite excited about it.

Ranbir is balancing father responsibilities and filming for director Sandeep Reddy Vanga's Animal in addition to Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar promotions. The actor says he'll be taking a short vacation following the August release of Animal so he can spend some time with his new daughter.

“I haven’t signed anything. But hopefully, in the coming months I will hear a couple of subjects. I’m in no hurry myself. I have my daughter to attend to now, so even if I’m sitting at home for a year, I’m more than happy to. But right now I don’t have anything apart from Animal and Brahmastra 2," the actor adds.

Recently, there have been rumours circulating that Ranbir was approached by the Ramayana film's producers to play Lord Ram. The Ramayana, a masterpiece by Nitesh Tiwari, has been in development for more than five years. In response, Ranbir remarked, "It's a rumour. It’s not true."

Also, there were rumours that he was a contender for YRF's Dhoom 4. Ranbir, however, has denied the rumours. He said, “I wish I was Aditya Chopra to answer this… I’d love to be a part of those films or Dhoom 4 or any film of that nature, but as of now nothing has been offered to me."

On March 8, the movie Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which also stars Shraddha Kapoor, will be released. The movie is co-produced by Bhushan Kumar's T-Series and Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg's Luv Productions.
