Ranbir Kapoor is full on promoting his upcoming period film Shamshera, which also stars Sanjay Dutt and Vaani Kapoor. The actor who is returning to screens after four years will be seen in a dual role for the first time. And during the promotions of the film, the actor spoke about his married life with Alia Bhatt. His response has put him presently in trouble.

He was mocked on Twitter for comparing his marital life to his Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani dialogue, "Shaadi is dal chawal for pachaas saal till you die; arre life mein thoda bahut keema pav, tangdi kabab, hakka noodle bhi hona chahiye nah?" He said Alia Bhatt is tadka in dal chawal, achar, kanda and everything. After all the experiences, he added that he has realised that dal chawal is the best. He stated that he is really happy with her and couldn't want for anything more. The couple also announced today that they are expecting their first child. But perhaps, the manner he described his marriage has irritated his admirers.

While one fan commented, “The way men can never refer to women as actual people”, the other asked if he could just simply say that he loves her.

Check out the tweets:

Today, Ranbir and his wife Alia Bhatt announced that they are pregnant. While fans and celebrities are overjoyed for the new parents, they can't believe what they're hearing.

Meanwhile, Shamshera, directed by Karan Malhotra, will release on July 22. He's also working on Animal alongside Rashmika Mandanna.

The actor is also awaiting the release of Brahmāstra, directed by Ayan Mukherji. It also stars his wife Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna.

On the other hand, Alia is also prepping for her Hollywood debut, Heart of Stone, in which she will star with Gal Gadot and Jamie Dornan. In Bollywood, apart from Brahmāstra, she will be seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, alongside Ranveer Singh.
