Ranbir Kapoor gives major update on Animal Park: 'I can't wait to be on set'

Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 2023 film Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor, is one of the most talked-about films. The film's narrative was criticized by many for its excessive violence, perceived misogyny, and toxic masculinity, with some figures calling it "dangerous for society." The movie is officially going to have Animal Park, which was shown at the end of the Animal movie itself. On September 28, Ranbir hosted an Instagram Live session on his ARKS account on his birthday and shared an update on Animal Park.

During his Instagram Live, Ranbir Kapoor was asked to share an update on Animal Park. The birthday boy said, "Animal Park should start in 2027. Sandeep has been interacting with me on the idea, the music and the characters and its just crazy and I cant wait to be on set."

Earlier, speaking to Deadline, Ranbir said that Sandeep wants to make an "over three-part" movie for Animal. He added that they should start that film 2027. "I think he (Sandeep Reddy Vanga) just kind of flirted with what he really wants to do with the movie. He wants to make it over three parts the second part is called Animal Park.”

"We have been sharing ideas from the first film itself on how he wants to take the story forward. It's very exciting because now I get to play two characters – the antagonist and the protagonist. So extremely exciting project, an extremely original director and very excited to be part of it," he said. 

About Animal

Animal stars Ranbir Kapoor as Ranvijay Singh and Anil Kapoor as his industrialist father, Balbir Singh. The story centers on a son's intense love and passion for his father, who remains emotionally distant. After Balbir is the target of an assassination attempt, Ranvijay seeks violent revenge against his father's enemies, which leads to a vicious gang war.
