While interacting with Zoom, Mohit Chauhan shared an update on Rockstar 2 and how he has been mentioning the sequel from time-to-time. “Yes, I am open to the idea of Rockstar 2, but I don’t think it is going to happen soon. Imtiaz Ali se masti mein zikr hota hai lekin Rockstar ne aur uske sangeet mein bohot badi chhap chhodi hai. Ranbir ki acting ne bhi. Main shukraguzar hu ki Jordan ki voice tha film mein. 13 gaane gaane ko mile. It is a cult film. Rockstar 2 aayegi toh excitement hoga lekin kab hoga aur kaise hoga woh nahi pata,” the singer updated.

Rockstar ends on a closed chapter

Rockstar spoke about a singer's journey from a naive lover to a heartbroken admirer of one person who completed him. The journey for the lover who ended up bringing the pain and passion in his music ended with the scene, thus making it a closed chapter. It would thus be interesting to see if the sequel could actually unfold.

The tale of Rockstar, a little early for its time, is now a genre that has received immense love in 2024-2025. Saiyaara, Tere Ishk Mein, Sanam Teri Kasam and Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat's success has proven the very same. Thus, the demand for Rockstar 2 is at peak.
